New Diabetes Plate For Diabetes

The Long Time Government Food Pyramid Replaced by a Food Plate Showing Portions Sizes, Has Been Matched With A "Menu That Works" Plate For Those With Diabetes

The dropping of the long time food pyramid by the USDA and replacing with a food plate, has been quickly matched for Diabetics who had their own tailored food pyramid.

The long term USDA Pyramid was long considered by many, almost exactly upside down for Diabetics.

The Diabetes Newspaper, Diabetes Cure 101, has been publishing a diabetic food Pyramid for seven years, has also updated their information with a Diabetes Plate showing what foods "work for Diabetics.

Just out, this diabetic plate shows precisely what foods work for a diabetic without medication, none being necessary. Unlike the USDA food plate, portion size is not involved and diabetics can eat these specific foods, (no measuring) all you want whenever you want.

On the blog at http://diabetesprogram.cabanova.com/the new diabetes destroyer is featured in the latest issue ,Both sources showing the new plate comparison to the previous diabetes pyramid.

This issue also exposes the expected coming onslaught of medical doctors deserting the standard diabetes treatment, since 1993, an intensive drug prescriptions treatment to lower and control blood sugar levels for diabetics.

Recent government diabetes studies, including the Accord study, were stopped for humane reasons, because of those on intensive diabetes drug treatment to control blood sugar were dying early.

Both large studies were stopped after the third year because of the higher rate of death of those with blood sugar lowered the most with drugs.

Late figures released have shown the longest Accord study survivors were diabetics with the highest blood sugar levels and that had done little or nothing to lower it.

The new diabetes plate shows the menu of foods used to control blood sugar without medication. Food that has been proven to work doing just that, according to the newspaper publisher, Harlan Jacobsen. himself an 82 year old diabetic that has followed the menu for seven years. He had a 10.5 A1c when on medication, and now has a 5.9 off all medications for seven years.

This reading means you are no longer qualified as even a "pre diabetic." Qualifying as a Diabetic starts at 6.5.

Readers report losing all excess weight within a year Jacobsen claims, but that is just a side effect of automatically and effortlessly controlling your blood sugar with this diabetes plate food list. All delicious standard food a diabetics body can still cope with, all with out the need for any life shortening medications.

Diabetes Editor Jacobsen believes the new diabetes plate will be found useful and good timing for those in the profession who want to get their diabetes patients off of the proven as "life shortening" protocol of blood glucose lowering medications, just as soon as possible.

Treatment of Diabetes with Gastric Bypass

Six million Americans are affected by morbid obesity, and the number is rising. For the morbidly obese.. Traditional treatments such as diet, physical activity and lifestyle counseling are said to be reasonably ineffective ways of weight control for people who are suffering through the disease known as morbidly obese. Many medical experts support surgical methods like bariatric weight loss surgery to help downgrade morbid obesity.

Diabetes and Heart Disease-As soon as most those who think of a chronic health problem correlated to obesity they think of heart disease and diabetes. Both of these medical conditions have shown progress for many patients after bariatric gastric bypass and gastric banding surgeries. However, there are other illnesses that may make you eligible for weight loss surgery. Your surgeon will look at your overall health and all current conditions before determining if you are a good candidate for these procedures.

According to the American College of Surgeons, most severely overweight patients fail to maintain a normal, healthy weight-loss without the help of surgery. There is almost a point of no return in weight loss for 98% of people at a specific level of BMI.  There are risks to everything, but to live in this way would be too dangerous for long-term survivability.

More significant risks are involved in the open cut gastric bypass procedure, ones that may need emergency attention during treatment of diabetes with gastric bypass include hemorrhaging, clotting, infections, leakage of stomach acids, bowel obstructions, or hernia. But for the candidates who are needing bariatric surgery, and when other methods of weight loss surgery are not recommended, then gastric bypass is the option with Roux-en-Y anastomosis being the most common gastric bypass procedure.

But to live without treatment of diabetes with gastric bypass could be fatal as well.

Diabetic Symptoms - Have You Learnt It?

It is not uncommon for a person to be surprised when they are first told they have a medical condition that would be considered serious.

The typical reaction is to state that "I don't feel sick" or something along those lines. And in many cases the person is right. Frequently something serious will show marginal or minor symptoms. Diabetic symptoms are often like this.

We know this because some estimates state there are as many as tens of millions of Americans that have diabetes and don't even know it. The reason, as we've already stated, is that many diabetic symptoms are difficult to detect, or they are symptoms normally associated with other things as well.

So how do you know if you have diabetes. The American Diabetes Association lists some of the major diabetic symptoms as extreme thirst or hunger, frequent urination, fatigue, unusual weight loss, blurry vision or irritability.

Just by looking at the list you can quickly see why diabetes so often goes undetected. Think about it. How many of those symptoms are associated with other conditions? Blurry vision is normally caused by a minor eye infection. Stress is a major cause of irritability, and frequently fatigue and weight loss and pointed at depression.

If you have any of the diabetic symptoms, don't assume they are related to something else. See your doctor immediately. Diagnosis by a physician is almost always better than self diagnosis. Don't leave it to yourself to decide if these symptoms are a result of something else.

There are or course other diabetic symptoms not on this brief list, but these are the major ones.Read --> Essential Diabetes-Symptoms of Diabetes or consult with your doctor for more symptoms to look out for.

Through Weight watchers, the $4.8 million study give the men a testosterone supplements in combination with a committed weight-loss program.

There are up to 1500 Australian men who join to the program. Most of them are aged 50-74 and at risk of developing type of 2 diabetes. They come from New South Wales, Victoria, States of South Australia and also Western Australia.

The professor from the University of Adelaide’s School of Medicine, the leader of study, Gary Wittert said, when men get older and start to gain weight and larger around the belly, they suffer from reduced testosterone levels.

For men’s health, lower testosterone has many implications, such as lack of sexual function and reduced motivation to exercise. They are associated with type 2 diabetes closely. This type of diabetes is a massive health liability for Australia.

Testosterone supplements will help them to see sustained reductions in weight since they will be on a dedicated weight-loss program and also will reduce a chance to develop type-2 diabetes.

Weight watchers can be accessed by men who sign up for the study and can follow the program. They don’t need to come to any place to follow the programs. All programs will be available online which is ideal for men who choose not to join a weight loss group.Study Result 700x640 Study Result   Testosterone Boost Can Be Usage to Prevent Diabetes

For those who take part in it will have a range of other health benefits, because the study will be conducted over at least two year of the participants’ lives, according to Professor Wittert.

American Diabetes Association Guidelines

American Diabetes Association Guidelines mentioned that diabetes mellitus is a disease characterized by high blood sugar levels caused by disturbances in insulin secretion or impaired insulin action or both. Patients with diabetes mellitus body unable to produce or respond to insulin produced by the pancreas organ , so that the increased blood sugar levels and can cause short -term complications and long-term in these patients .

According to American Diabetes Association Guidelines, diabetes mellitus (DM) is divided into several types. Type I diabetes usually causes no symptoms before the age of 30 years old patient, although symptoms can appear at any time. Type I diabetes patients require insulin from outside the body for survival. Type II diabetes is usually experienced when patients aged 30 years or older and patients are not dependent on insulin from outside the body, except in certain circumstances. Other DM type is gestational diabetes, which is diabetes that occurs in pregnant women, caused by impaired glucose tolerance in these patients. Currently the number of patients with type II DM is increasing, because the lifestyle is not healthy, such as lack of physical activity and unhealthy eating patterns. Risk factors for type II diabetes include: genetics, environment, old age, obesity, lack of physical activity, history of gestational diabetes as well as a certain race or ethnicity.

American Diabetes Association Guidelines stated that symptoms of type II diabetes include excessive thirst, more frequent urination (frequency awakened from sleep to urinate at night to be more frequent than usual), lots of eating, and weight loss suddenly for no apparent reason.

American Diabetes Association Guidelines recommend that diagnosis is made by examination of blood sugar levels , the blood sugar after fasting 8 hours or when blood sugar . The important thing is carried by diabetic patients keep blood sugar levels. Blood sugar levels are poorly controlled (always high, sometimes low or sometimes high or too low) can cause complications in diabetic patients.

Short-term complication is hypoglycemia, which is the state in which blood sugar levels are too low (< 70 mg / dl). Perceived symptoms of hypoglycemia when patients are sweating, palpitations, hunger, and shaking. If not treated promptly, the patient may lose consciousness, slurred and convulsions.
